Starks Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Dr. Majé Goodwin to our staff. Dr. Goodwin is originally from Nashville, TN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Goodwin then returned home to Nashville where she attended Meharry Medical College and graduated with cum laude honors in 2003. She went on to complete residency training at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in 2006. Dr. Goodwin was recently engaged and excited to relocate to the Charlotte area where her fiancée has established a law practice.
Dr. Goodwin shares our philosophy of providing a healing village in which each child and family receives experienced, trusted, and respectful care. She enjoys all aspects of Pediatrics, with particular focus on preventive care and adolescent medicine. She is excited to have the opportunity to meet expectant parents and to provide compassionate and knowledgeable support and care to families as they welcome their newborns. She believes that building a foundation during childhood and adolescence leads to a healthy lifestyle as an adult and as such she has a goal to partner with parents in fostering that foundation.
Dr. Goodwin is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
We knew that the addition of Dr. Goodwin to our staff at Starks Pediatrics would be ideal for the practice. She will serve children of all ages in our practice with the highest standard of care through all of their preventive exams and the management of acute and chronic illnesses.
